Events/Programs:
- Welcome Back BBQ: This event is an opportunity for us to celebrate our students coming back to campus and introduce new members of our LGBTQA community to the Prism Center.
- Home for the Holidays: An opportunity for us to send-off students into the winter break and remind them that no matter where they go they always have a home to return to at the Prism Center and at UVM.
- Queer Prom: an event for celebrating queer/LGBTQ+ authenticity in all shapes and sizes. This is everyone’s night to have fun! Dancing, music, crafts and games, and many surprises.

The Prism Center is one of my favorite places at UVM! When asked about the experience of LGBT students at UVM, I tell the story of how when I came out, I felt very distraught and was looking for support and found it at the Prism Center. It was the best space for me to be affirmed in my gender and feel comfortable and safe, which was everything I needed at that time. When giving tours, I give a more general statement on how I have attended a variety of Prism Center events and frequently go there between classes to do work and relax. They have lots of comfy couches for students to rest on along with free snacks and coffee/tea/hot chocolate. ~Avi Bauer
